Demo firmware wizard

Demo firmware commonly available has rates fixed to 10ct for a 10/11 digit call and 25ct for 7-digit local call. To edit the advertising messages or speed dial buttons you need a hex editor and some experience. It also has several bugs, like some coins not being detected properly (a nickel recognized randomly as 5 or 6 cents, a dollar coin - 9 cents) etc.

We just released a demo firmware editor so you can customize it online, then download your .bin file.

Important notes:

  • Demo firmware only works with MTR 1 boards. Compare your board with the picture below.
  • Service is free but please limit EPROM downloads to two each day
  • I put a lot of effort developing this tool. You can buy me a coffee ($3 - $5) if you find this service useful (link leads to Paypal)
  • Programmed chips ready to be installed available on ebay for $25 [expected: Jul 2025].
  • Remember your code when done, so you can recall and correct it later or use for ordering the chip.
  • Service provided as-is with no guarantees. Use at your own responsibility.
  • Known issues:
    • as of Jun 2025, this is still not tested comprehensively, we're awaiting your feedback.
    • French translation - although correct (based on original firmware), voice prompts are sometimes incorrect. Needs more research. Also you need a correct voice chip.
